One way to make
ineffective carbon-credit work is to compliment it with grassroots
micro-crediting awarded by You
for acts done that You
like and then let a few more people know about it so they too can join
and share.
The ecoTwollar Experiment In 4 Simple
Steps:
Note: all carbonTwollar tweets kindly redirect to @ecoTwollar. Thanks!
- Done something
deceptively
simple to save our resources, or pollute less?
- TWEET IT and follow @ecoTwollar.
(If you want, check/add
hashtags
to make it easy to follow.)
- Find someone done something
nice and LIKE
IT?
- Reward it by MICRO-CREDITING
ecoTwollars
in your Tweet
update so more
catch on to the idea.
Do you think it can
work? Let me know what you
think, won't you.
This is a completely new initiative, just started on twitter/ecoTwollar
(Update:old CarbonTwollar address now obsolete) the same day as posted.
The Next page is on opening
a conversation with the nice Twollar folks about this
initiative.
Note:
According to Nielsen Online recent report, Twitter
has about 4-5M users, 6M unique monthly visitors and 55M visits a
month. It currently retains about 40% of users. If this niche trend
remains,
Twitter will have about 10% of web users.

Twollar
is getting popular on twitter too. But I think it needs much more
recognition. (As
and example, at the time of writing this, no wikipedia page existed on
Twollars.)
