CarbonTwollar morphed into ecotwollar beta and many people began using it. Collaborative
feedback begins to arrive from various interested sources. Thank you
all. Slight setback that Twitter experienced DoS attack and to recover
older hashtags is still a bit difficult. We are in discussion to
resolve the matter.
A pebble in the ocean? Launching the 4-step CarbonTwollar
Experiment. Next we will try and ask the good Twollar folks to consider a separate
category in their scheme in the vein of this heartfelt
discussion. You can ask too, if you think it a good
idea...Let's see what transpires.
Carpooled with
friends to get down-town and see and hear an insightful climate change
policy initiatives presentation by representatives from non-partisan D!ssent and the Australia Institute. Enjoyed some
great chats with decent movers and shakers afterwards.
The Carbon-Manna
project gave our Pro-bono and Otto some nice publicity. They
kindly acknowledged our endeavours in raising awareness for the
benefits of micro
carbon-crediting. Thank
you!
Products, Applications
We begin to explore potential interests in web based services with LCADesign now trading.
Policy Contributions
LCADesign
(see video below) introduced at the World
Sustainable Building Conference SB08 by the Hon Peter
Garrett, Minister for the Environment, Heritage and the Arts. A project
we are proud to have been associated with during its development.
Visited the SB08
(22-25 Sept) that this year has been held in the Melbourne Convention Centre
in the heart of Melbourne CBD. Balmy 20 degrees, great exhibitors and
very thought provoking scientific papers were presented.
Here, I downloaded all the abstracts for you. I particularly
liked two streams:
Enhanced Sustainability Assessment Methods -
Buildings & Components;
and
New Products, Technologies
& Systems - Construction Products
Development and Planning Projects, Information

Multi-townhouse
apartments in Mount Waverley finishing
construction. Owner
just mentioned I'd need to organize photos, before it is too
late -
they will sell pretty fast. - And she likes very much how it is
coming up. Good news indeed.
(Simple can
be radical indeed ;-)
Effective towhnouse

Construction
Innovation project (CRC for CI)
We have
been selected as the Building Information Model (BIM) developer.
Previously we were shortlisted to provide 3D models linking to a
buiding database
for the CRC providing services for the Symphony building 27,000m2 (2900
SQ approx. in Markstaete in Brainpark III., Rotterdam) in the
Netherlands - under construction.

Construction
completed on dual occupancy in Glen Waverley. Took photos when
the front was successfully sold (for good price too!) after being about
a week on the
market.

Multi dwelling (townhouses) in Glen Waverley (under
construction.)
We
managed to mold these unit residences to the site that is
irregular and sloping heavily.
Together
with other selected building designers we produced our Dubai bid for a
joint application with the generous help from AusIndustry and the BDAV.
We feature here notable
projects with our past
participation.
This,
however, had to be shelved for some better times, because we had to
attend other local
projects that came up. Was sweet nevertheless.
